EMPIRE OF FUZZ: Presented by Exploding In Sound

Last year was a pretty important year for rock, shifting the focus back to independent, aggressive, and free thinking bands. 2012 saw noise rock, punk, and post-hardcore edging towards a welcome commercial viability while remaining defiantly abrasive. Exploding In Sound is thrilled to present EMPIRE OF FUZZ, a look back through the year that was, highlighting some of the finest releases laid to tape, both well received and tragically overlooked. Over the course of twenty six tracks, EMPIRE OF FUZZ delves into noise, indie, lo-fi, garage, no wave, post-punk, psych, shoegaze, grunge, alternative metal, and punk goodness... you know, the kind that demands you turn your speakers up... way up. We will be highlighting one band every afternoon, so stay tuned to Exploding In Sound for more info on all of your next favorite bands.

EMPIRE OF FUZZ, the soundtrack to your haziest dreams has arrived. Play it loud, play if often. Share with your friends. Share with strangers. The empire is growing.

Artwork comes courtesy of the one and only Tiny Little Hammers, one of our absolute favorite graphic artists that we've had the pleasure with working with continuously over the years. Check out more of his work at the above link. Special thanks to all the bands, labels, PR companies, and everyone who helped make this possible.
