Quick Notes: Bleeding Rainbow, Dinosaur Jr, Refused, Irepress

*[stereogum.com] Earlier this summer, we posted “Pink Ruff,” the first single from a new album that Philly garage-pop crew Bleeding Rainbow (formerly Reading Rainbow) were planning to release this month. Well, that album, Yeah Right, has been pushed back; it won’t be out until early next year. But here’s a pretty great consolation: A furiously catchy piece of fuzz-rock sugar called “Drift Away.” Hear it below.

Yeah Right is out 1/29 on Kanine.

*[consequenceofsound.net] As Dinosaur Jr.’s Facebook page reports, guitarist J Mascis’ signature Squier Jazzmaster guitar was stolen following the band’s concert in Eugene, OR earlier this week.

The guitar has a “dent in the neck, the pickups have no screws as they usually do and the action is currently set high. The guitar was in a soft gig bag.” That’s a picture of it above. Anyone with information is asked to email band@dinosaurjr.com or call 303-998-0001.

In the video below, you can watch Mascis talk about his guitar and the line of Jazzmasters which he released in 2007.

*[theprp.com] Recent live shows from Refused have seen their track “The Deadly Rhythm” play host to covers and jam sessions. HERE you can find fan-shot video of the band performing what appears to be an extended jam; with audio and video of an abbreviated cover of The Stooges‘ “T.V. Eye”.

*[theprp.com] While not entirely generous with new info, Irepress recently tweeted that they are in the studio working on “heavy as fuck” new music. Expect more details soon.
