The band will return to Bogart's in Cincinnati for a New Year's Eve show on Monday December 31st, 2012. Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10AM EST. Tickets can be purchased online HERE.
The Afghan Whigs will finally embark on their first full North American tour in thirteen years starting this Friday, September 22nd in New York City with a performance at ATP's I'll Be Your Mirror festival. Also, this Wednesday (September 19th), the band will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Formed in 1986, the band's career from then until 2001 saw them release five critically acclaimed albums: Up In It, Congregation, Gentlemen, Black Love, & 1965 along with several EPs. Fusing classic rock with grunge-era distortion and a heavy soul influence, The Afghan Whigs were one of the most renowned live bands of their time and now one of the hottest tickets this fall.
