*Summer People have posted another demo from their upcoming record, which you can stream below. Here's what the band had to say about it...
"We spent over 13 hrs recording and mixing with our chum Hunter on Monday. Yeah that's right... we work on Labor Day. This'll be another little taste of our upcoming full length. Enjoy."
*[press release] Monday night Ume was featured on the season premiere of the Emmy award-winning series "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - The Final Tour." The band hung out with the celebrity chef at the Austin restaurant Barley Swine and chatted about the type of cuisine they encounter while touring. If you missed it, you can watch the video HERE.
In addition, the band recently visited the Huffington Post/A-Sides studios in White Plains, NY to film an intimate live session and interview. The band performed "Hurricane II" and "Dancing Blind." Watch it below.
Ume returns to the studio soon to work on the follow-up to their debut full-length album Phantoms. Ume will be recording their new album with Grammy Award winning producer Adam Kasper (Foo Fighters, Cat Power, Queens of the Stone Age). Catch the band on tour this fall with the Toadies and Helmet.
*A message from Desert Pearl Union Records...
The year is 2012 and it’s the year that (Damn) This Desert Air is putting the finishing touches on their first full-length album, Pyramids. After two weighty EP’s, a vinyl 7-inch split single, and two tribute album appearances, (Damn) This Desert Air stands tall on top of their nine song album. (Damn) This Desert Air create big, booming, melodic rock wide in its breadth, sound and scope. Injected with heavy space riffs [think Oceansize, Cave In, Failure] with a foundation of post-hardcore [think Far, Quicksand], (Damn) This Desert Air are finding an audience who not only desire a thick, full blast of sound, but also attention to dynamic detail in their music.
Though the members of (D)TDA have resigned from notable bands such as Instruction, Merciana, Elemae, Errortype:11; Ex Number Five, No Reward, The Fire Still Burns, it’s the current sound they’ve created together that have set them apart.
