Joan of Arc Ready New Album, Living Room Tour + More

[press release] Chicago's Joan of Arc have announced the release of their new self-titled album on limited edition vinyl. NOISEY has just premiered the first video from the s/t album, titled "King Song", showcasing sweet Elvis moves from each member of the current JOA lineup. View the video below.

Largely comprised of acoustic guitar and a solo voice, the album (also known as "Joan of Arc" and "Charlie Chaplin and The Elephant Man") sees the veteran band grappling with simplicity and minimalism. Side A includes six concise folk songs, each offering a different perspective of Kinsella-interpreted folk themes. Side B is a single piece, considering the simplicity of acoustic guitars through a different tradition: twentieth century minimalism. Featuring a cover painting by Chicagoan Dmitry Samarov, this is Joan of Arc pressing for complexity and compelling expressiveness in the simplest of familiar forms.

Officially released on November 27th via Joyful Noise, the album is limited to just 500 hand-numbered copies, with the first 190 copies pressed on white vinyl. The album is available for pre-order HERE.
