Quick Notes: Red Fang, Elliott Smith, Titus Andronicus, British Theatre

*[theprp.com] The second installment of Red Fang‘s European tour documentary this past spring has landed online. You can watch that below:

*[consequenceofsound.net] Kill Rock Stars continues to release alternate takes of Elliott Smith‘s classic tear-jerkers. Following cuts of “Alameda” and “Punch and Judy” now comes the fragile ballad “Angeles”. The original highlighted 1997′s Either/Or, and the alternate version can be found below via Kill Rock Stars’ Bandcamp (via Pitchfork).

FYI: The label is reissuing Either/Or on 180 gram vinyl this month in honor of Smith’s birthday. You can pre-order the album right now at the Kill Rock Stars store.

*[pitchfork.com] In this installment of "Pitchfork Weekly", Pitchfork.tv chats with Titus Andronicus about their upcoming album Local Business (out October 23 via XL). They talk about how long each member has been in the band, demonstrate their on-stage jokes, and give each other a round of applause.

*[theprp.com] British Theatre (ex-Oceansize) released their new EP “Dyed In The Wool Ghost” today, August 20th. The set is available for streaming/purchase over at the groups Bandcamp.

Presently available as a digital download; a 12″ white vinyl pressing of the release is expected to see a release around September 02nd. It will be limited to 500 copies.
