Additionally, songs from the video session will be available either as a free, exclusive mp3 download, or as a free bonus when the band's physical album is purchased on Insound. We hope you enjoy!
Widowspeak offers up legitimately hazy and subtly psychedelic summer sounds with guitars bathed in reverb lying just below the smooth, sultry vocals of frontwoman Molly Hamilton. While most recently spending their early summer making the Brooklyn small venue rounds they dropped by for our newest studio session. This lighter-side-of-rock quartet played “Gun Shy”, previously released on Captured Tracks as a 7” single and also featured on their self-titled full length debut. Audio by Mike Kutchman (KUTCH1 Studios) and video from Frank Longhitano and Kevin Haus (haus + longhitano). Check it out HERE.

*[press release] They slice, they dice, they julienne, and what's more - they can put on one hell of a sweaty-fun punk show. The toast of Brooklyn - The So So Glos - will soar above the din of tumbling Bocce balls with a show at Union Hall in Brooklyn, next Friday August 10th with Wyldlife and Awkward Girls.
Earlier next week (Monday, August 6th) the band-of-brothers will play an afternoon show for teenage attendees of NYC Rock Camp in Brooklyn. After a mini-set the So Sos will talk with aspiring tween/teen campers about the band's collective growth spurts... from their pre-pubescent formation in Bay Ridge to their recent international tours and their part in the founding of all-ages venues Market Hotel and Shea Stadium. This is infectious and inspiring stuff for bedroom-rockers to soak in the band's plucky DIY spirit. The So So Glos may also give pointers on rabble-rousing... because they know a thing or two about that as well… (or three!)
The So So Glos are clamoring to new heights, with tracks from their upcoming album Blowout already receiving extensive airplay on Sirius/XM radio, and much attention surrounding their performance at CBGB Festival earlier this month. Championed by discerning King's County kingmakers Vice and the youthful legion that pack their every Shea Stadium show, The So So Glos invite you to join in on the fun.
