Quick Notes: Mrs. Magician, No Age + Beck

*[consequenceofsound.net] Do not adjust the picture. Snarky surf punks Mrs. Magician control the vertical and the horizontal, and in their clip for “Dead 80′s”, they use that power to create a kaleidoscopic trip into the cover art of their debut album, Strange Heaven. If they wish to have orcas, they will jump from a sea of squiggly black lines. Directed by Derrick Acosta and Dusty Dirtweed (of Mushroomnecklace.com)

*[dirtylaundry.tv] The great LA band No Age recently headlined an anti-Walmart rally in LA's Chinatown (presented by Human Resources, Unionosity & Ooga Booga). Check out No Age's performance of "You're A Target" at the event on a special episode of Dirty Laundry.

*[consequenceofsound.net] As previously reported, Beck will release three new songs inside of the Sony Playstation game Sound Shapes. “Touch the People”, “Spiral Staircase”, and “Cities” will each be featured as their own level on the game, and you can get a sense of what that means by watching this preview of the gameplay featuring “Cities” (via Pitchfork). Check out the song, and a little background on the creation of Sound Shapes from the developers below. Sound Shapes will be available for PS3 and PS Vita August 7th.
