Local H Ready "Hallelujah! I’m A Bum" for September

[loudlooppress.com] Get ready for a double dose of Local H. The Chicago hard rock duo have announced their seventh studio album, Hallelujah! I’m A Bum, which also happens to be a double record, will drop on September 18 via Slimstyle Records. The 17-track opus was also produced by metal engineer extraordinaire Sanford Parker.

According to a press release, Hallelujah! I’m A Bum is a concept album in which Scott Lucas drew inspiration from, ”the deeply divided political climate that exists in the U.S. and around the world, using the Windy City as a backdrop to sardonically comment on how this polarization personally impacts people.”

Sounds like pretty deep stuff. In the same press release, it states that the record will also have a canine theme (which makes sense considering the above cover art) that will work as a companion piece to their 1998 release, Pack Up the Cats.

But one track from the record, “Night Flight To Paris,” has already been revealed via a Lucas-directed video of Local H in the studio. The song is pretty damn heavy and definitely harkens back to Local H’s Here Comes The Zoo era.
