The Corin Tucker Band Return with "Groundhog Day" + Tour Dates

[pitchfork.com] Corin Tucker has remained fairly quiet since releasing her 2010 solo album 1,000 Years. Now the ex-Sleater-Kinney frontwoman has announced her next record, Kill My Blues, to be released September 18 via Kill Rock Stars. According to a press release, the record finds Tucker "returning to her riot grrrl sonic roots." It's her second record since Sleater-Kinney went on indefinite hiatus in 2006.

The album was written collaboratively with Tucker's band, which includes Sara Lund (Unwound), Mike Clark (Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks), and Seth Lorinczi (Golden Bears). They'll support the record with an East Coast tour this fall.
