Quick Notes: Torche, Black Sabbath, LaFaro + More

*[theprp.com] Torche‘s new album is complete and off to the pressing plant. The group oversaw the production duties for the outing themselves while Converge‘s Kurt Ballou handled the mixing. It is expected to see a release in the coming months through Volcom Entertainment.

*[theprp.com] The recently reunited Black Sabbath have decided to continue on without drummer Bill Ward. The news follows Ward publicly voicing his concerns yesterday, February 02nd, regarding the contracts being offered to him for the reunion.

Speaking through the official Black Sabbath Facebook earlier yesterday, February 03rd, the other members of the band stated:

“We were saddened to hear yesterday via Facebook that Bill declined publicly to participate in our current Black Sabbath plans… we have no choice but to continue recording without him although our door is always open… We are still in the UK with Tony. Writing and recording the new album and on a roll… See you at Download!!! - Tony, Ozzy and Geezer“

*A message from Smalltown America Records... For most bands, their frontman shattering his ankle would stop them in their tracks, but not LaFaro. Instead Jonny traveled by car for two days to reach the Dutch festival where an headline spot awaited them and judging from the reviews, Jonny's predicament only added to the performance. The festival also saw the first big test of nerve for new bassist Oisin O'Doherty who flourished in his new role.

This month sees LaFaro return to Europe for a 25-date headline tour that encompasses 9 countries.

*[theprp.com] Constants‘ forthcoming album “Pasiflora” will see a June 19th release date through The Mylene Sheath. The self-produced outing was co-mixed by the band and Daryl Rabidoux (Bad Rabbits, The Cancer Conspiracy).
