Boston post-punk favorites Grass Is Green are poised to create a splash in 2012 with the release of their magnificent third album Ronson. After spending 2011 opening for the likes of Melt Banana, Tera Melos, Joe Lally (Fugazi), and DD\MM\YYYY, the band have established themselves as one of Boston's absolute best live bands on any given night and the time has come to take the nation by storm. The highly anticipated record's twelve tracks are dynamic as they are powerful, and the album is crafted with brilliant pacing and fury. Their longest and most developed record in their already stellar catalog will be released on March 1st 2012, but you can stream the album's first single "Nice Guy of the Year Award" below for a taste of what's to come.
The album will be available as a limited edition [only 500 copies] CD through Exploding In Sound Records, sold exclusively at Grass Is Green concerts and on tour. The digital is available to pre-order through their Bandcamp page courtesy of GHouse. Boston residents will get their first chance to grab a CD at the band's album release show, March 1st at Great Scott. Speedy Ortiz will join in the celebration with still more special announcements to come.

Stay tuned for complete tour dates as the band prepare to hit the road leading the way down to SXSW! Much more details to come shortly. In the meantime, let "Nice Guy of the Year" swirl around in your ears for a bit.
