"This is a really exciting week for us as we'll be bringing you the new EP from Australia's Electric Jellyfish. We really can't get enough of these tunes, and we're thrilled to be sharing them with you. Recorded in a two-day session in Melbourne’s inner north suburbs in between shows on their 2011 Australian tour, "Trouble Coming Down" officially comes out this Thursday, March 1 as a very limited edition cassette (100) and download on Twin Lakes. Raw, elemental, and filled with post-punk fury, these tunes channel Leadbelly, the Jesus Lizard, and Joy Division all at once through a singular grunged-out blend of Gothic folk and blues punk.
The Electric Jellyfish 2012 US Tour kicks off this week as well, which will include SXSW appearances and shows with some of our favorite artists: Aussie legends Feedtime, Spectre Folk, Tall Firs, Noveller, Hank IV, Golden Boys, Carlton Melton, and Twin Lake's own MYTY KONKEROR. EJ frontman Michael Beach will also be making a special solo appearance at SXSW, with yours truly backing him on drums... stoked! You can see a full list of dates at the link above.
