*[theprp.com] MonstrO‘s (ex-Torche/bloodsimple.) entire new self-titled album is now available for streaming online through Guitarworld.com. The outing was produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains and will land in stores on September 06th through Vagrant.
A limited edition 7″ featuring the album tracks “Anchors Up!” and “Stallone” will follow on September 20th through limited|fanfare records.
*[stereogum.com] Corn dog enthusiast Stephen Malkmus dropped into the East Village’s Other Music last night to stump for the recently released Mirror Traffic. He played a previously unheard new song, “Independence Street,” and also launched a (debatable) Mumford and Sons barb (about 3:48 into the second video).

The 9% alcohol by volume dark sour ale joins NBB’s Lips of Faith Series, adding to a beer family which already includes the highly popular Fat Tire Ale, which is now sold in over 32 of the 48 continental United States. The beer is available in 22 oz. bottles and a limited amount of kegs.
New Belgium and CLUTCH will officially unleash the ale at a very special kickoff event at the Red Palace in Washington DC on Monday night August 29th, at which members of CLUTCH and their label Weathermaker Music will be present. Admission will be limited…”
*[theprp.com] Jane’s Addiction‘s forthcoming new album “The Great Escape Artist” has been pushed back a week to an October 04th release date through Capitol.
