*[theprp.com] Rocksound.tv are reporting that they have received official word that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl‘s recent appearance in a series of studio photos posted by Mastodon was merely just friendly visit to the studio. According to the bands spokesperson, Grohl is not scheduled to perform on the album.

*[pitchfork.com] Guards is a project by Richie Follin (also of Willowz), whose sister is Cults' Madeline Follin. "Hear You Call" is a spritely, doo-wop-tinged cut from his forthcoming Resolution of One 7", out Monday on Kitsune. Stream HERE.

The label hopes to release the EP in the US soon and are considering a small run of CDs/vinyl. The international group will make their live debut at the Sound City Festival in Liverpool on Sat, May 21st @ The Masque Loft.
