[press release] Today (3/9), Consequence of Sound hosts the world premier of "Summer Fling," the title track from New York-based surf/psych outfit THE VANDELLES new EP, Summer Fling. The five track EP will be released to coincide with their 2011 SXSW appearances during the week of March 14th, 2011, and besides three new songs, will include cover songs from the Cramps and Spacemen Three.
Additionally, Spinner will be streaming the entire EP for one week, beginning March 14th!
The Vandelles are out to prove that 2009 debut LP Del Black Aloha was no fluke. Imagine the Jesus & Mary Chain making love to Dick Dale, and you’re not far off. Throw some rockabilly, and sweet sounding backing vocals on top, and you’re there.
