Quick Notes: Mastodon, Maynard James Keenan, Twin Tigers

*[theprp.com] Mastodon‘s forthcoming live DVD/CD outing “Live At The Aragon” has been scheduled for a March 15th release date through Reprise. The footage comes from a show the band played at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL during their “Crack The Skye” touring cycle. According to Metal Sucks, it will find the band performing their latest effort “Crack The Skye” in its entirety, along with other tracks from their back catalogue, plus a Melvins cover.

The group have hinted in the past that the project may feature a documentary section helmed by Jimmy Hubbard as well. In other Mastodon news, the band have been added to the July 08th-09th “Sonisphere Festival” in Amneville, France.

*[rcrdlbl.com] Twin Tigers’ epic Athens rock gets ever more epic with a spectral wash from adroit psychpoppers Bear in Heaven. This remix sees “Everyday” in a wide-angled lens where air and earth wrestle for sonic share—cumulous vocals ascend while weighty guitar distortions pull down. Contradictions! We love those. Safe bet there will be more on Twin Tigers’ upcoming EP (which they're recording with Sam Fogarino of Interpol).
