[press release] Philadelphia's Good Old War, whose self-titled album debut at #2 on Billboard's Heatseeker Chart, will offer the title for $5.99 on iTunes beginning November 2nd, as part of the store's Discovery Download program. The album has also been a #1 Seller at Amazon and has ranked #1 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart.
The band has built major buzz by touring relentlessly in 2010, as headliners in both the USA and UK, and also support for artists like Brandi Carlile and Xavier Rudd. Good Old War continues their efforts on the road by supporting Dr. Dog and Joshua Radin on two tours this fall. They'll cap off the year with seven shows supporting Dashboard Confessional and headline hometown show on December 17th at Philadelphia's Theatre of Living Arts. Click HERE for tour dates.
A video for "That's Some Dream", the second single from the current album, will make its debut on ABC's Music Lounge. The track shipped to AAA radio this week, following two potent shows at CMJ's Music Marathon.
[new.music.yahoo.com] Good Old War stopped by Yahoo! recently to play some songs off their self-titled sophomore release and the performance was no doubt impressive—the guy off-camera yelling ‘Nice!,’ ‘Awesome!’ and ‘Sick guys!’ isn’t exaggerating. In a world of auto-tune, it’s hard to come across a group unafraid to harmonize that beautifully without help of studio or stage sound equipment. A live acoustic set is really the best way to experience Good Old War’s music and I can’t help but love Goodwin's adorably awkward busker dancing. Check it out HERE!!
