Dead Confederate capped their nation-wide tour with Alberta Cross and Futurebirds in style this past weekend. The tour, in support of their sophomore album SUGAR, was originally scheduled to conclude on Saturday alongside fellow Southerners Widespread Panic in Charleston, SC, however Dead Confederate was graciously invited to appear on Monday as special guests of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at Atlanta's Masquerade. Dead Confederate spent the tour documenting their travels for Spinner.com who featured the band's essays and photos as part of their Road Show tour diary series. Four entries have been published to date and can be found HERE with a fifth (and final) due to be published any moment.
After a well earned month off, Dead Confederate will travel to New Orleans to play the Voodoo Festival on the 29th of October. Dead Confederate's slot has them performing prior to Metric and Muse at City Park. Full festival information can be found HERE.
The band will then appear in Atlanta for a final time this year as special guests of Manchester Orchestra and their label, Favorite Gentlemen, at Center Stage Music Complex on November 24th. The event, dubbed The Stuffing, is a festival curated by Favorite Gentleman featuring Manchester Orchestra, Dead Confederate, Bad Books, Kevin Devine and a host of other bands. Tickets for the event are currently on sale at TicketAlternative.com.
Following The Stuffing, Dead Confederate will return to the road in support of Minus The Bear for a string of East Coast dates with stops in North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York.
