*[blogs.seattleweekly.com] It's official: Red Fang has signed to Portland/New York-based label Relapse Records, also home to Coalesce, Rabbits, and Baroness, the latter two of which the Fang gang played with at MusicfestNW last Thursday, the very night they signed the deal. I ran in to Relapse label head Matthew Jacobson at the Sleep show at Roseland last night (which, incidentally, was quite possibly the best metal show I've seen in my life), and he was obviously very happy about his new signees. Congrats to everyone involved -- now please hurry up and share your crushingly brilliant new record with the rest of the world. It drives me bananas that I can't play this song on the radio yet:
