*A message from Great Ancestors...
"Been keeping busy - recording new songs, growing a feral beards, preparing for Ancestors version 2.0. So we have been pretty slack on the blogging front. With our first band practice in bloody ages looming (tenner says our voices don't make it through the set) and our first shows in two months next week, now seems a good time to tell you the score. As mentioned, we've been in the studio - namely Lightship 95, the new venture of recording supremo Ben Phillips (NCF, The Sans Pareil, Cosmic Thoughts). We've got four songs down which we'll be releasing on two 7" records over the coming months. One you'll recognize. The others, you won't.
The songs in question are Taking Minutes, Let's Hug It Out, Black Hands and Clappy Families. And, yes, we can truly confirm there is more cowbell. We're also toying with the idea of a new member - we had hoped to get this musical maestro on board in time for our Canterbury show next week but sadly it's not going to happen. More news on this person's debut in the future. In the meantime, get down to a show, move your hips or give yourself that bangover you've been promising. Go on. We dare you. Rock on."
*A message from Jolly..
"We are excited to announce that we have finished recording our second album, entitled The Audio Guide To Happiness (Part I). We are anticipating a January release with InsideOut Records. Also, we have a new website [link above] layout. We've added a forum - become a member so you can talk about Jolly all day to fulfill your otherwise mundane life."
