A message from Brooklyn's Pet Ghost Project...
"So, long story short: we decided to make "State of the Art" [now streaming HERE!!] a bonus from our new album. Call it a b-side, call it an out take, call it an extra tid for your bit, call it what you will. Basically it didn't fit with the rest of the album and it undermined the climactic parts in the songs around it. This tune was recorded more or less live, under some pretty intense sessions... and it sounds like it. Moreover the tune just isn't in quite the same vein as the rest of the album. So there you go.
In case you are wondering, yes the album is in fact done. We've had some pretty crazy happenings as of late and for better or for worse its put us way behind. In fact, I'm not even sure when the album is going to be properly released. We are dealing with tons of business and financial crap at the moment, so we are in the midst of getting past of all of that. The album is so good (at least I think so) that I don't just want to release it just for the sake of releasing it. This album means a lot to me and I want everything to be set up so it has its proper time in the spot light. We worked awfully hard on this thing and want it to be heard.
Tons of other goodies on the way folks. We have a Serious Business Session that will be out and about soon. 5 old songs (one from each past album) was recorded in a couple of hours in that lovely studio. Very excited about that, stay tuned.
