'Methods' the debut album from White Belt Yellow Tag is out today on Distiller Records. Here's a message from Craig and Justin of WBYT...

"It's here, the moment I've been waiting for, for a very long time. Our debut album has been launched. It's out there now and I can't wait for people to hear it in it's entirety.
"As a body of work, I couldn't be more proud. This record is the culmination of hard work, some good ideas and a great team of people to work with. I can feel it becoming an addiction, I want to make and release many more records. To finally have a 12" gatefold vinyl,(with some of the most amazing artwork I've seen on an album sleeve for a long time) in my hand, it is incredible. I hope you enjoy listening to the record as much as I enjoyed making it."

"Before we started work on the album we had countless record company / music industry types come up to Newcastle to pass their judgment on what we were doing and how we should proceed... 'Move two inches to the right, get a bass player, get someone else to play drums...' (initially I was playing drums). Once this parade of contradictory 'experts' had all given their say we went into a studio laid down some tracks we already had, then we wrote the other half of the album in the fortnight we were there.
"The freedom and self belief that session gave us made us realize how we didn't want to work with a label dictating their 'fresh ideas'! We wanted to do things our own way from songwriting to release on our own terms using our own Methods. Once the album was recorded we started working with like minded people like Chris Potter and Distiller who've helped us to finish an album we're immensely proud of."
