Suns of the Tundra Update!!

Suns of the Tundra have checked in with the following update on the band's happenings and plans for 2010. I personally couldn't be more excited to see SOTT news in my inbox!! The band that was spawned from the brooding prog metal of the UK's phenomenal Peach have released two incredible albums with little to no promotion over the past decade. Here at ExplodingInSound.com we can't wait for the new record...

"The band took a leave of absence from the live music scene and recording over the last couple of years (while Andy and Simon got used to living life with babies around). But 2010 sees the band back together. The postponed third album (working title ‘South’) is finally taking shape, hopefully to be released later in the year.

Last year – in case you missed it – some SOTT rarities saw the light of day. The soundtrack album ‘Almost the Right People’ (SM004) and the EP ‘Illuminate’ (SM005) are still available to buy at http://www.sunsofthetundra.co.uk/

[The ‘Illuminate’ EP includes a re-recording of a lost Peach (feat. Justin Chancellor of TOOL) classic ‘Made of Stone’! And if the Credit Crunch has been unkind to you, the track is free for you to download at the website.]

The band are also in the midst of working out how to get the back catalog onto iTunes at the moment, but its all kinda hi-tech for them...
