[filtermagazine.com] Before all of Jack White's side projects, the creation of his label (Third Man Records), production credits and occasional acting gigs, there was and forever will be: The White Stripes. In the summer of 2007, the candy red and white duo zigzagged around Canadian plains with a singular goal: to perform in every province and territory across the expansive northern nation. The result of the journey was the Emmett Malloy-directed documentary: The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights.
Set for a DVD release on March 16th, the documentary will first make its way across North America for a series of special screenings. Kicking off March 11th, fans can check out special midnight screenings at various theaters, or can take the DIY route and host one of your own. Choose your own adventure!
In celebration, FILTER's got an exclusive scene from the film. Check out Jack White and his guitar rockin' out in this clip for "Three Hits".
The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights hits stores on March 16th.
