Last night And So I Watch You From Afar issued a statement that there was a problem with their visas and would therefor not be attending their scheduled NYC and SXSW performances. I was deeply saddened, and hadn't gotten around to posting the bad news, but when I awoke this morning, the band says the tour is back on! Here's the message direct from the band...
"Hi guys, a minor miracle has occurred and we have received our Visas, just a little too late for our initial flights today! So instead we fly to Toronto for Canadian music week on Thursday with our lovely, sleek, dashing bedfellows Adebisi Shank at The Hideout on 11th March. THEN on Saturday 13th of March we'll be playing what we hope to be our first of many New York gigs, this one taking place at the Mercury Lounge as part of their yearly CraicFest.
Then the big one, SXSW! From Wednesday 16th until Monday 22nd we shall be playing a series of shows at the legendary festival in Austin, Texas. Please keep updated through HERE and our facebook twitter tec and through the main SXSW site.
Massive apologies for the earlier mix up, was a colossal mind f*ck to all involved! See you on the other side (of the Atlantic!) Over and Out" - ASIWYFA
