Robots and Empire have posted an update regarding new music from the band...
"It's like this: The 4 songs on the Color Touches EP are a small part of a larger batch of 11 songs we recorded in late 2008. Brian has since put vocals on 2 of the remaining 7 tracks and will lay down some more sweet nectar on 2 other songs. This is beginning to read like a word problem in a 4th grade math class. Anyway, the plan is to package those 4 new/old songs together as a new EP. Most possibly a split release with Park Ranger? ...last we dreamed. The working titles we need to change for those songs are High Bears, Twirlybox, Ghostfingers and Dick Jones Ahead. Hmm... maybe i actually like those titles. Maybe.
While we finish up that project we'll also begin recording music for 6 new songs that've been kicking around in our brains. I'll share the working titles again because they amuse me. They be; Nursing, Space Letter, Queen Elizabeth Queen, Sexual Bitch, Most Brut Cologne and... the title of the last song escapes me. Chances are it may not even have a title yet, but Nick wrote it which means it is fantastic. I would hum it to you but that's impossible here.
At what point you will hear any of these songs is dependent upon how long we choose to labor over them, which could be a while because we are very stoked about them and they need proper care and tender loving.
--which brings me to...
The most exciting part of all this, for me, is that we're going to have a go at recording the new material ourselves as scientists in perpetual sonic pursuit of awesome tones and sounds. This Jimmy Page Mentality we've chosen to implement has energized our creativity, creating a new energy for energetic creations. Darn it, I've lost my thesaurus."
