"Bastardized is proud to announce the addition of New Jersey's (DAMN) THIS DESERT AIR to its roster and with this signing we again show we love breaking boundaries and musical limitations.
After being in touch for a while and tons of lively internal discussions we decided this band is something we definitely want to release. Their music blew us away from the first listen and we were thrilled by the energy (D)TDA reveals in their music. These guys know exactly what they're doing.
We feel honored to be able to work with them and strongly believe "Distance Waits" is going to be something you won't expect from Bastardized. Show them love!
Here's a statement by the band concerning the signing:
"(D)TDA is more than thrilled to join the Bastardized family of bands considering the passion for our material received from Stefan earlier this year. It's great to hear the staff over there echoing his sentiments and open to expanding their roster's sound and style while following through with the release of our upcoming Distance Waits EP.
We're very proud of the soundscape of our new songs and the team of engineers which have helped us take them there. Thanks to Brian Virtue, Alan Douches, Larry Suglio and Pop Up Records(who will also be releasing this EP on North American shores). We respect the history of Bastardized coming from a fervent community of bands we've played and supported in and around the alternative, hardcore and post-punk scenes in New Jersey/New York. Looking forward to building a future with Bastardized as we write songs towards our first long layer album and take the stage wherever we can, including an offer to hit German/European shores in 2010."
(Damn) This Desert Air's Bastardized Debut "Distance Waits" is set to be released in April 2010.
