Apteka Offer FREE Album Download

While you may or may not be familiar with Chicago's Apteka, the time has come to take notice of this incredible shoegaze/alternative/psychedelic band. Since first hearing them earlier today, they have blown me away and I can't stop listening. Having played with Adam Franklin (Swervedriver), Retribution Gospel Choir, Band of Skulls, and more, the band recently released a 9-track EP while on tour, simply titled Tour EP. The entire thing can be downloaded for free directly from the band. DOWNLOAD THE ALBUM HERE!! You really can't pass on this opportunity to hear a great new band. They were recently interviewed on TheDumbingOfAmerica.net and I couldn't agree more with his words...

"You know that feeling when you stumble upon a great song? The thrill of discovering a great, new band? That internal battle of wanting to keep is as your own private secret versus shouting it from the tallest building? Well, we’re taking the express elevator to the top floor to tell you about Apteka. Hailing from Chicago, they made a huge splash at SXSW in 2009. With a heady mix of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the epiphanal rush of shoegaze, with the intensity of Jane’s Addiction they’re truly the great band that’s flown under your radar too long. They released a “tour EP” to coincide with their appearance at SXSW and subsequent tour that would end up on most critics top ten lists if there was any justice."

Read the entire interview (with audio/video) HERE! While there, also be sure to check out their feature on another of the year's best releases Engineers!
