A little over a month ago I posted an article about Steaming Satellites, an awesome band that hails from Salzburg, Austria. While the band is currently working on their new full length album (read the article here), the band has very little exposure here in America. I first heard of them from an Austrian friend who was in the states traveling, international word-of-mouth at its finest. After checking them out I managed to obtain a copy of their stellar EP, Karate Party, and have been enjoying it ever since. Their sound can best be described as a jarring blend of indie and space rock that will appeal to fans of: Portugal. The Man, As Tall As Lions, Oceansize, and Radiohead. Check out their video for the EP's title track, and read below for your chance to win an official copy of Karate Party.
In my last posting I mentioned how there is no real... legal... way to get the album in America, so I contacted the band, and they were gracious enough to send over several copies of the EP for readers who are interested. All you have to go to get a copy: e-mail me at dgoldin2012[at]yahoo[dot]com with the subject Karate Party! In the message please give me your address, and a copy will be mailed to you shortly. There is a total of seven copies available, so first come first serve. As always, stay tuned to this site for all your Steaming Satellites news and information. On another note, if you'd be interested in purchasing an official Exploding In Sound t-shirt, let me know!

Cool sound. Reminds me a little of The Arctic Monkeys
