[theprp.com] Mastodon have confirmed through a posting on their official website www.mastodonrocks.com that they are in fact working on a score for the upcoming feature film "Jonah Hex". The band are working on the score alongside composer John Powell and the film's director, Jimmy Hayward. No further details were revealed. The film itself is the big screen adaptation of the titular comic book series and stars Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich and more. In addition to scoring the film, it has been revealed that Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds will also make a cameo in the movie, which is set for a June 18th, 2010 release date.
