Kung-Fu Grip to be featured on Stone Temple Pilots and Buckcherry Tribute Albums in Stores This Spring.
We are happy to announce that we are going to be a part of two tribute albums coming out on Versailles Records in the Spring and Summer of 2009. They will be out in all major retail stores. We will keep you all updated when we have the release dates... read on.
"To celebrate STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' recent reunion, Versailles Records is currently working on "Wicked Garden: A Millennium Tribute to Stone Temple Pilots", tentatively due out in stores in the early spring of 2009. In addition to a number of name hard rock and alt-rock/grunge-era artists, the collection will feature a handful of up-and-coming millennium rock bands."
We have recorded the Stone Temple Pilot track "Tumble In The Rough," from the Tiny Music album. It turned out really great and we can't wait for you guys to hear it!
"Versailles Records has also announced plans for "Lit Up: A Millennium Tribute To Buckcherry", due in the early summer of 2009. The album's star-studded, hit-laden track roster will include current/former members of MEGADETH, ALICE COOPER, HANOI ROCKS, THE CIRCLE JERKS, MOUNTAIN, SLASH'S SNAKEPIT, RATT, WHITE LION, STEELHEART, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, LOVE/HATE, L.A. GUNS, and others to be announced."
For the Buckcherry album, we recorded the song "Time Bomb." We made this song our own, and are very pleased with how it came out, and we hope you guys will be as well.
These albums will be available in stores everywhere (Best Buy, Virgin, Walmart, etc).
BUT BEFORE EITHER OF THOSE ALBUMS ARE RELEASED...Kung-Fu Grip will be releasing their sophomore full length album, "Two" later this month!! I've had the pleasure of hearing the album, and I can assure you that it's awesome! Great grunge music for the new generation of fans. Be sure to show them some love and support!
