Isis have eight tracks written so far for their upcoming new album which they will begin recording in November. Around 6-7 of the tracks are expected to appear on the album with any remaining tracks earmarked to show up on a future EP release. The group look to have recruited Joe Barresi (Queens Of The Stone Age, Clutch) to record the effort with mixing and mastering expected to be completed by mid January with a spring release to follow via Ipecac. In related news, band frontman Aaron Turner has officially joined Mamiffer instead of his previous collaborator status. Furthermore, Turner's collaborative project with James Plotkin and Tim Wyskida has now changed their name to Jodis. The group had previously been going by the name of Vessl but were forced to change as someone else had already claimed the name. The groups debut album "Secret House" is expected out through Hydra Head in early 2009.
